TKI Mission
Founded at the turn of the century, TKI is
an
independent research organization providing accurate, detailed and
timely
information for decision-makers about all aspects of life on the
Hawaiian islands.
Our staff combines expertise in economics and ecology and experience in
planning and research on all islands. Our projects are led by
highly talented and accomplished experts in business
strategy, environmental science, and community networking.
Our focus on sustainability issues from both a corporate and community
perspective makes us unique in all of Hawai`i.
TKI
has proven ability to deliver superior value by serving senior
executives at some of Hawaii's largest corporations and most
influential community groups.
TKI's
purpose is primarily educational: To gather, analyze, and present
objective information on important social, economic, and ecological
aspects of life in the islands.
Typically TKI
will deal with demographic, financial, land use and environmental data
from public sources, as well as maps from our extensive collection of
GIS data.
TKI seeks
to be a unifying force by sharing information that affects all
islanders and by engaging those who deeply care about these small
islands in the sea.
Sustainability is about wholeness-- the reciprocal and
dynamic functioning of the whole human support system.
