Kauai innovators: better, greener eating at home

aloha we deliver restaurant meal service

The Sifuentes family on Kauai is way ahead of the curve with their new restaurant meal service called Aloha We Deliver.

Not only are they helping Kauaians cut their dependence on cars and reduce emissions from driving, they are also ensuring their operations leave small footprints.

How? Their deliveries come in biodegradable packaging.

This service features 8 restaurants so far, and is available now to residents of Kapaa and Wailua, Kauai’s largest residential area.

Yeah! You go gang!

Oh, and, did I mention that some of Kauai’s finest chefs are on their list?

And, yes, their eco-friendly packaging is separately available.

Fact is, they’ve taken the distribution franchise for BioPak To-Go food containers made from pre-consumer recycled paper-board.

Among other features, Bio Paks allow hot food to breathe, preventing soggy leftovers.

Now, if Kauai only had a Smart Jitney service, this venture could save even more emissions by delivering more than meals…
