My wife did, and she concluded we’re f_cked.
To be fair, the movie producers use this language: “our industrial society, built on cheap and readily available oil, must be completely re-imagined and overhauled.”
Yeah, imagine doing without all those other things we make from oil.
And you tho’t the war in Iraq was about oil. Wot if it is? Would you support it then?
Turns out, war is just about the only way America is gonna keep the oil flowing, especially as China and India explode into the oil demand phase.
Listening to the movie’s impressive rack of talent on technology and resource issues, you’re persuaded that oil is sho’nuff gonna run out. Soon.
Never mind all the numbers and dates for ‘proven’ reserves and oil peaks, it’s coming faster then we tho’t.
